The FI Cleaner Tool is compatible with a wide range of current Euro 4 standard motorcycles (from 2017, depending on the brand/model). The engine management system monitors the various sensors on the motorcycle. Whenever there is a fault or anomaly in the system, the FI light turns on and stays on even if the fault condition no longer exists, such as with a disconnected then reconnected connector. It then takes several full running cycles and a lot of time to clear the error without an OBD tool (sometimes several hundred kilometers before it clears), or otherwise the only solution is to take your motorcycle to the dealer for diagnostics, which is usually a paid service. This is where the FI Cleaner Tool proves very useful, as it allows you to clear the error code in just a few seconds. ** Note: The FI Cleaner Tool will not clear the FI light if the error is still active. However, it will clear it within seconds if the problem has been resolved. The FI Cleaner Tool will not erase the error history (stored errors) in the ECU. It will still be possible to check this list later with diagnostic equipment to address recurring issues.
