Harness the flexibility and intelligence of your BMW R 1250 / 1200 / GS / GSA motorcycle’s CAN bus electrical system to make accessory installation considerably easier with the new and improved DENALI CANsmart™ GEN II controller.

The DENALI CANsmart™ controller provides plug-and-play installation and integrated control of up to four accessories, enabling dozens of customizable settings that can be controlled directly from the BMW “WonderWheel” or the CANsmart™ Accessory Manager software.

The four CANsmart circuits are preprogrammed to independently connect and control two sets of DENALI 2.0 lights, a SoundBomb horn, and our B6 auxiliary brake light.

Gen II – More features, more power, more versatility
Unlike the Gen I CANsmart, each of the four Gen II circuits can provide a full continuous 10 amps of power, and each circuit can be configured to operate any type of accessory. The unit’s total maximum output remains 30 amps continuous. The Gen II also offers two new auxiliary light settings. You can now modulate your auxiliary lights for improved visibility and configure your left and right side lights to cancel independently when you activate the corresponding turn signal.

Features
High/Low Beam Synchronization – Configure the auxiliary lights to switch between a programmable high/low setting using the factory high-beam switch.
On/Off and Dimming – Independently control two sets of lights ON/OFF and adjust their intensity level (for daytime and nighttime) directly from your vehicle’s factory switches.
Light Modulation – Configure the auxiliary lights to modulate to increase your visibility to other road users.
Overtake Flash – Need to attract attention? Press your high-beam switch three times and your auxiliary lights will flash rapidly three times.
Turn Signal Cancellation – This function cancels the corresponding auxiliary light when you activate your turn signal, preventing powerful auxiliary lights from obscuring your signal.
Opposite Flashing with Hazard Lights – This function makes your auxiliary lights flash in opposition to your hazard lights, increasing visibility during roadside emergencies.
Plug & Play Horn Installation – Quickly and easily connect high-powered horns such as our SoundBomb™ without adding an additional wiring harness or relay.
Horn-Activated Strobe – With this function enabled, the CANsmart™ software will automatically flash your auxiliary lights when you sound your horn. This function works whether you have the factory horn or a SoundBomb™ horn installed.
Deceleration-Activated “Smart Brake” Technology – The CANsmart™ reads the vehicle speed in real time to activate your auxiliary brake light during deceleration, even before you apply the brake. You can adjust the sensitivity and the minimum speed at which the Smart Brake function activates.
Brake Light Flashing – The CANsmart™ offers four different flash patterns that make our super-bright auxiliary brake lights even more visible to drivers behind you. You can configure the auxiliary brake lights to flash only during hard braking, flash continuously while the brake is applied, or flash rapidly four times and then remain illuminated (California-legal flash rate).
Circuit Function Selector – The circuit function selector in the CANsmart software allows you to use any accessory of your choice on any of the four circuits. Click a circuit icon to open the drop-down menu and select from the list of available circuit functions.
Switched Power Source – The CANsmart™ offers a universal “accessory” option that simply provides clean, switched 12V power. This means that any accessory connected to this circuit will turn on and off with your motorcycle’s ignition.
Shutdown Delay – You can also configure the accessories on this circuit to switch off after a delay. This will keep them powered for up to 30 seconds after you turn off your motorcycle’s ignition.
Integrated Power – The “accessory” circuit option is ideal for powering your GPS, phone, heated gear, or any other electronic device.
